This ballet inspired shoot aimed to capture the essence of dance in the wings and preparation for the stage. Rosin, a golden yellow rock-power mix, is used backstage by dancers to help control their pointe shoes and therefore their movements on stage. Watercolor tends to have the ability to reflect a lot of the movement seen in dance, so watercolor elements were used on a simple white cake and white backdrop and mixed with other elements such as rosin and wooden floors.

These talented vendors hoped to convey the beauty of the movement of dance but also the raw moments and strength that often aren't seen behind the scenes. See all of the beautiful details from this dance and movement inspired wedding shoot in the full gallery, photographed by Love Be Photography.
